the days seem to be flying

Do your parents and grandparents regularly comment that the days, weeks, months and years seem to fly by faster and faster as you get older. I feel like mine “just don’t know where the time has gone…” Now, I may sound old, but isn’t this the truth?

So many wonderful things have happened to me over the last decade, particularly in the last year. I have graduated from high school and college. I moved to a new city, got engaged, started my freelance writing career and got married.

While I enjoy reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future, I think that this year I am most excited about the present. (Ironic that I am excited about future present moments? You decide.)

I am bound and determined not to let life pass me by. Presently, I am hanging out in my place in Chicago, but in the near future here are a few things that I am going to be up to:

-Heading to Costa Rica next week for an international birthday adventure with my brother, Patrick. (It is his birthday, and I couldn’t bear the thought of him being by himself in a foreign country on his birthday.)

-Building my business. I am determined to build my writing and web strategy business so I can continue to have the freedom I desire. Interested? Give me a shout.

-Continuing to surround myself with the people I love. My family means the world to me, and in November I added some wonderful people to this group. I am excited to introduce Jeff to old traditions, experience his family’s and begin to create our own.

From the sound of things, this year is already shaping up nicely. I am off to do some living now, just not outside. I don’t like living in single digit weather.
